Andy Bondor has just confirmed today that the World Championship scheduled for Brazil is cancelled. I will try to inform you, as soon as I know, if there still is a possibility to have the event somewhere else in 2012.<\/p>\n
As a direct reaction to this disappointment an attempt will be made to establish dates and venues for future Worlds at various meetings during the Olympics – Therefore if you are involved with your Federation you should consider preparing a bid as soon as possible and talk with Andy.<\/p>\n
I do not know what went wrong in Brazil but the IJF Grand Masters Commission’s main efforts will be to try to make sure that this does not happen again.<\/p>\n
Please pass thE decision about the cancellation on to all your judo friends and your Federation.<\/p>\n
